problems synching passwords

I tried to get passwords saved in opera to sync from my old phone to my new phone but on the page where it shows what's been synced, I see the number of speed dials and the number of book marks but it shows 0 passwords. I got the speed dials over to my new phone so I am pretty sure things are generally working. Is there some reason why passwords would not sync when everything else does?
