It would be nice if we could have both beta app and the stable version at the same time (one way would be to compare how they work and feel)
Why Open the Web?
Despite the connecting purpose of the Web, it is not entirely open to all of its users.
When used correctly, HTML documents can be displayed across platforms and devices.
However, many devices are excluded access to Web content. -

I just installed the ios Mini beta today on my 4s.
Some background: my most common use of Mini is to admin a college sports board (built in vBulletin 4). I also read news sites and random use of startpage or google. My board has around 1,000 active members and 30,000 page views on a typical day; we topped 114,000 Tuesday - we had a big win Monday! I almost always use "mini" mode rather than turbo.
First off with Mini: The upgrade went smoothly - all my settings carried over. I've noticed that pages seem to be cleared for memory and need to be reloaded more often. Going "back" doesn't always take me to the same place on the prior page, and I have to scroll around to find it again. Both really slow me down.
The url prefetch seems to work pretty well even with obscure urls.
Also, the instagram pics from this WaPost page didn't display. The other pics did.

Opera should add MS OneDrive and GoogleDrive to Opera mini and other opera browsers as soon as possible

Couple weeks later, not sure what to think. Is there any reason to beta? Not seeing much love here...

And the beta just expired. The regular version reinstalled and kept all my settings intact.

Did anyone else try the IOS Opera Mini Beta program? Or was I the outlier?
If so, did you get any feedback? Did you see a purpose to the IOS Beta?
I've done a bunch of Betas over the years, but I've never had no feedback...

Sorry about that JK, you may not be contacted by the Dev's due to their work load, but the feedbacks are indeed taken care of.

Thanks. Is there a new beta any time soon? The old one expired early last month and kicked me off.

Just got notice of a new beta for ios. We'll see how it goes...
(Ooh - "night mode"!)

The night mode is nice - it doesn't invert the display, but makes the screen much dimmer than before. Dialog boxes remain bright, though. There are toggles for "enable" and "bedtime" along with a slider for dimming. "Enable" turns it on and off. The slider changes brightness. I don't know what "bedtime" does, though.
One problem: the night mode setting turns itself off spontaneously. I was playing with it last night, and switched to and used a different app for a while. When I came back to Mini, the night mode setting had turned itself off. I think it happened when the phone reloads Mini from the memory saving status (I'm not sure what the proper programming terms are); it only happened when I'd be away from Mini for a while.

This "Bedtime" option adds a very subtle reddish overlay which is particularly easy on the eyes during evening times.

Well, that explains it; I'm colorblind! Thanks.
Any idea why "enable" doesn't persist when switching apps? Or is that a basic bug...
