Application Shortcuts

Now that Opera's on the Chromium engine, is there any plan to add the Application Shortcut feature which has long been part of Chrome? Its probably the one thing preventing me from switching to Opera completely now....

Have you checked the extensions available for Opera to see if someone already made one?

I have just had a look through the extensions, and no there unfortunately isn't one...

If there is an extension in the Chrome Web Store to do that, what you can do is use the Opera extension called "Download Chrome Extensions" and using Opera, the Chrome Web Store will now say "Add to Opera."

I guess you tried to customize shortcuts within internal Opera page? (for extensions too)

btw. what dou you mean by aplication shortcuts?
if you referr to chromium apps shortcuts, they (apps) are not supported in Opera,
also, there is no way (natively) to add shortcuts to taskbar like Add to taskbar chrome feature ...and I doubt that any extension can do this...not sure tho

it was before aplication shortcuts, now, in Chrome, it's called add to taskbar
