      I can confirm. Snap opera-stable broke with the latest update to v124. I get the same error messages as the users above me. The snap crashed with the same wayland init error.

      As of now we can't even use the .deb version because that one also broke with the update to v124. There seems to be a larger problem. I wonder how this passed the internal QA.

        hello i have the same probleme i haveubuntu 25.1O and the latest version of opera stable opera a new installation by snap doesnt work.

            snap revert doesnt recognize any older versions, any alt fixes?
            idk what the hell are Opera team doing...

                I just upgraded Opera to the latest snap version and now it works:

                        @metana Yes. It gets full screened and stuck. It seems like it might be related to the razor thin handles the opera window has in linux.. maybe i'm just not grabbing the handle because it barely exists. Either way, they borked a bunch of stuff with the latest update.
