How to recover lost bookmarks in Opera 29 ?

For some reason my bookmarks are gone and I just can't recover them.
I've already tried to replace copy bookmark by bookmarks.bak in profile/data. I could do it, but when I reopen Opera my bookmarks are not reloaded and when I go back to profile/data I see that the bookmarks file has gone back to the previous empty file (as if the copy had been cancelled).
I also tried to replace the content of the bookmarks file (by editing it with Notepad) by the content of bookmarks.bak by copying it into bookmarks. It produces the same result as above. The bookmarks file is correctly amended but when I reopen Opera the amended file has disappeared and I'm back to the initial bookmarks file.
Does anybody have an odea of the process to help me recover my bookmarks file ?
