Restore preferences

I'm using Opera 12.02. Is there an easy way to restore all of the settings (preferences) back to the original default settings, in one 'fell swoop'? I've made so many modifications over the years I don't remember what or why I did them. Now Opera won't do a lot of the things it did before.Thank you. I want to keep the personal stuff intact.... bookmarks, passwords etc. I don't want to upgrade any higher than 12.16 if that will help. Thanks

Close opera and in %appdata% folder rename the opera directory
