Has anyone else suffered from the problem where opening things in a new tab, whether by middle clicking a link or an external program sending a new link to Opera, might sometimes result in an about:blank page instead? I cannot recreate this on demand - it appears to be random. If you try again, then it succeeds.

Sorry, I should have said. I'm on 28, although that update happened only this morning from 27. The problem has been happening this week, although I just did something which nearly always results in one "missed tab" (an add-on that blasts open around 20 different search tabs simultaneously) and every tab succeeded. Perhaps they just fixed it in 28! I'll report back.

I've seen that once in Opera 28 here.
After middle-clicking some links I looked at the tab bar and the tabs presented no favicons, switching between these tabs made Opera laggy (looking in the task manager it wasn't actually hammering the CPU nor the RAM, as they were barely used). I exit Opera and it closed with a little delay, and when I reopened it (Continue from last time) these tabs that failed to load weren't there anymore.

I currently don't have any extension installed and the only plug-in I leave enabled is the integrated PDFium.
