opera gx Vpn sometimes works and sometimes doesn't

Im in the UK, and the vpn on opera (not pro) is acting really weird, sometimes it'll work, but other times it'll just never work for days and days
yesturday it worked for a tiny bit at night, went to bed, today it's stopped working againYes i've restarted opera, yes i've turned off extentions and everything else i've tried
(this is a second post about the same problem but with a tiny bit more information on what is happending)
