Weird Overlay issue - Youtube

For some strange reason, the video pop-out overlay keeps appearing over my full youtube videos. The gray-ish overlay color, with the inability to adjust the youtube video settings, what time in the video you're watching, etc etc. Both theatre mode, regular mode, and even fullscreen video. It has nothing to do with dark mode, RTX, so I'm incredibly confused. Screenshot is attached below, any help is incredibly appreciated.

Edit: I've discovered this strange occurrence tends to happen when a new video begins when youtube is in the pop-up video mode. The videos will be fine if they're just in the tab, within the full frame, but if a new video starts and it's in pop-up mode, it'll simply freak out when I return to normal framing.

@AmeliaBirch03 Have been having the same issue. Found a 6 year old reddit post about it and the only "solution" they had was to refresh the page. It happens when you pause the video or start a new video while using popout player. When I tried asking youtube for help they flagged it as a dublicate question and directed me to page on how to troubleshoot common issues -.-
