Two years ago I would have gladly given my vote. Now, unfortunately, it seems Opera is drawing its last breath. Unite is gone, now MyOpera will soon be shut down... do you think it will take that long until it all goes down? I don't think so, two years max.

For me, Opera 11.64 is still the best browser, but it is not included in the poll. For others, it may be Opera 12.16 or Opera 12.14. I don't see any reason to prefer Opera 19 over Firefox, Chrome, or IE11.

Voting for Opera Stable would be nonsense. Vote for Firefox or Chrome instead.

I only support good things and since the launch of Opera 15 it no longer falls into that category.

Voted. Hope there will be a better and usable version. (Chrome is not considered "usable" in my definition.)

You've got to be kidding. I'm not one to either bash Opera Blink or weep over Presto's demise, but really, "Let's show our support"? For the current version of Opera? Why on earth would anyone who ever used Opera Presto do that? You and leushino often act as if Opera is your favorite football team---doesn't matter whether they win or lose, you love 'em.

Chrome is unquestionably the best browser available today. However, I have hopes that Opera Blink will develop its own unique features and overtake Chrome in the next two years. Opera Presto is dead and done with. We might as well be talking about Netscape as to discuss Presto at this juncture. What I do find amusing is the number of Presto users who pour scorn upon Blink and in the same breath say they are leaving Opera forever for Chrome. Now THAT is funny.

Not the thing of funny. It's related to usability. Firefox is better than Google Chrome in my opinion. Browser, piece of software, is not just compatibility.

(Of course I voted Opera 12, praying that Opera x0 will be better one day 👼 )

I disagree! Opera Blink is already better than any other browsers for my usage.

There's no need for high customizability when the defaults are already of my preference for example. And there's a bunch of unique functionalities included out of the box.

The old Opera gave a very high ability to be customized. Possibly power users like me and others have changed them quite differently, so no other browsers really suit, nothing more can do than just cry here. Like what my changes is about left hand control on keyboard, right hand on mouse. Even the defaults for Opera 12, or even Opera 9, don't suit.

Unfortunately voting is always for the most current version unless specified otherwise. Even though most software is very well capable of remaining useful years after being discontinued, its former users are quick to proclaim its "death", and the rest gladly accept this, and make it "die" by stopping releasing compatible content. If it's not a live being, as has been asserted on these forums when dismissing emotional responses, how can it die?

Just to oppose Chrome, I voted for Firefox. In version 27 it hasn't yet changed much. Chrome has a weird and suspicious attraction. I disaprove, but am not surprised that people would migrate to it.

There is software where the defaults are of my preference. I go over its settings just to add a personal touch, and can't find what to change! Those are usually open source or freeware products made by the people for the people. This means that the developers communicate in the forum with people when they have time. Opium isn't one of such products.

For example, ApexDC++, IrfanView or Total Commander, aside from it being stuck with a DOS keyboard set or in the modem era. Most settings are good by default there.

Well, if Chrome is unquestionably better than Chropera…

While I don't understand why they opt for Chrome rather than Firefox, I quite understand that for them Opera has no added value over Chrome anymore. Opera has a better speed dial and Turbo/Off-Road. That's still pretty much it.

I don't know how effective your call to vote will be. I, for one, voted for Firefox, since the vote appears to be concerned with the most recent version.

Interestingly Opera was first or second in the 2010 - 2012 editions of that poll. Firefox/Chrome split 2013, and are on pace to do so this year as well. But it's hardly a scientific poll, and it looks like the number of votes being received is fairly low, so that can be taken with a grain of salt. Being linked to on a couple of forums that favor a particular browser could easily turn the tide.
