all of my passwords and saved tabs are gone.

i woke up today and saw a error message and when i opened opera it was saying i already had it open, which i didnt, and when it finally opened everything but my bookmarks, settings, and extensions were gone. i really cant do anything because i dont remember all the passwords, is there a way to sort of un-corrupt the files?

It's a long shot, but you can close Opera, open the Windows task manager, make sure there are no Opera processes running (end task on any that are) and then try starting Opera again. Maybe you'll get lucky.

In Windows Explorer (File Explorer), you might want to check the permissions of your Opera folders too. While Opera is closed and no Opera processes are running, in both "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local", right-click on the "Opera Software" folder, goto "Properties", click the read only box so that it's clear (all white) and click apply. Then, switch to the "Security" tab, make sure your username is in the list and make sure it has full permissions (all set to "allow" except "special permissions"), apply, if necessary and OK out.

For opened tabs though, if you haven't closed Opera since this happened, before you do any of the above, you can goto the URL opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, copy the "Sessions" folder in the profile folder to your desktop, close Opera, delete everything in the "Sessions" folder in the profile folder and copy just the Session_xxx and Tab_XXX files with the oldest timestamp from the "Sessions" folder on your desktop to the now-empty "Sessions" folder in the profile folder.

As for your passwords, you can try making a test standalone installation and then replace its "Local State" and "Login Data" files with the ones from your current Opera, start that test standalone installation again, goto the URL opera://password-manager/passwords and see if your passwords are there or not. If you haven't closed Opera since your issue started happening though, you can try copying the "Local State" and "Login Data" files from your profile folder to your desktop before you close Opera and use those to replace the standalone installation's.

If you were syncing your passwords, you can goto https://www.sync.opera.com/, log in and see if it looks like your passwords are there. If so, using a fresh test standalone installation, you might be able to log in to your Opera account, sync your passwords, close the sync setup page to initiate syncing and goto the URL opera://password-manager/passwords and see if your passwords are there. If so, you can goto the URL opera://password-manager/settings and export your passwords.

Besides those things, not sure.
