Hi, can I have an option to double click the tabs to close it. so i dont need to precisely see the X button and click. I want to quickly mannually close tab and the double click on the tab is so convenient.

@Reitei17 I think double tab on the tab icon, to open a new tab is better.

@Zulqarnain0020 not really, because the + symbol for new tab, is really easy to click and always shows all the time. plus ctrl+t is easy to press as well.. While the x button for each tab doesnt show unless i hover, and need a bit more precision for each tab if i want to close fast. especially when the tabs are a lot and the tabs becomes smaller.

@Reitei17 You can use the middle mousebutton on a tab to close it : )

@Reitei17 there is always ctrl + w to close the current tab, but if you are looking to close a different tab, then I agree that scroll-clicking is the best option.

                  Welcome @Reitei17,

Since you prefer mouse-based navigation over other keyboard shortcuts or even other mouse event as mentioned by @TheAlmightyCheese, @qwertz155, @Zulqarnain0020 !

we’d like to highlight a feature many Opera users overlook: Mouse Gestures.

Opera has a powerful mouse gesture system that lets you perform actions by holding the right mouse button and moving in a pattern. For closing tabs, you don’t need to click the × or even the tab itself. Instead, you can:

                  • Go to any empty area of a webpage (not the tab bar).
                  • Hold the right mouse button and draw a quick “down, then right” gesture (⬇️➡️).
                  • Release the right button — the current tab will close instantly.
