I know, via searches, that Opera has refused to allow this. With the fall of Google and the rise of paid search like Kagi this feature is more needed than ever.

I pay for Kagi. Without this feature I literally can't and won't use Opera browser. I'm going to choose the service I pay for over a "free" browser.

Opera, remove the gun from your foot and add this feature otherwise you can expect to lose whatever little market share you have.

@Tekchip 100% agree... it is getting silly that a search engine like Kagi cannot be set as a default within Opera. I would prefer Opera, but this limitation pushed me back to Edge...

Chrome has this feature, Opera is actively stripping it out for some reason? It really sours my opinion of Opera that I can't customize my own search engine, like how dare you!?!?

Please, Opera devs, just stop disabling the feature from Chrome, there's literally negative work involved
