Allow vertical tabs with hiding the tabs from the top.

For us who prefer vertical space over horizontal space.

@RobertoLion Vertical tabs in general would be amazing, although from what I can tell, they seem to be avoiding adding them for some reason. I believe it would be a fantastic addition, especially if they make an easy way to switch between horizontal and vertical tabs for situations where you need the extra horizontal space. I would not die without them, but they are a fantastic feature that should be implemented now if they want more long-term users.

And an extra request: please make it horizontally expandable. If my tab has a long title or the first few words don't make it clear what I'm opening when I click on it, it would be very nice to expand it and read to that point where it is clear.

And more of an idea: transparency (maybe until hovered over?) and/or the ability to make it not resize the active window. In some scenarios, I think this would be cleaner and keep the users' eyes from needing to work out more by shifting their vision's resting location. For me, it can be difficult sometimes to even split my screen with two windows or place constantly used windows on a second monitor, as I am so used to facing directly forward and looking at the center of my screen (only scrolling my vision up and down with the occasional, slight side-glance) that it feels slightly-to-very uncomfortable. Of course, one could get used to it, but neither I nor the average person would realistically want to do that, as much as we probably could. If anything, I would probably relapse and switch tabs when I need to use the other LOL.

Edit: I just realized this was on the Opera forums and not Opera GX (I would have thought so since that's where I searched from), but if regular Opera doesn't have this, either, I don't see why not. Any bulky-leaning, heavily feature-based website should have this sort of thing in the modern day. That's their benefit--they have stuff you would never think you'd want (or even an excess of features) in exchange for speed/storage space. (Of course, both would be great, but that's why there's still competition and personal preferences.) I sincerely hope they implement this (or begin to) soon. For both browsers, ideally.
