Is there any way to add a page to the home screen like you can in Firefox and chrome?

Hi, it's a nice feature and something that you'll definitely see in an upcoming version of Opera. Service workers kind of snuck into Opera 27 but without much debugging support which is why we didn't announce it. Add to home screen, service workers and notifications makes for a really nice experience... proper web apps like they should be IMO.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing how web apps develop during 2015. Add WebGL 2.0 to that and we're really talking.

Thanks for the reply. Another really nice experience would to have extensions in the browser, is that something on the cards as well?

Extensions has been on our mind ever since we rebuilt the browser, but it's not trivial and there are several issues that needs to be considered. It's not on any of our immediate road maps but I agree it would be nice to have.

Any idea which version, and when? I've been comparing the stock browser, Chrome, Dolphin, Firefox, Ghostery, and Opera. Opera is the only one that doesn't have Add to Home Screen function! Yeah, seriously!!! Thanks,

Let me second the need for a Add To Home Screen option. Most all android browsers I have tried have this. I use Opera Mini because it is fast and easy to navigate.
If Save to Home Screen is implemented, please be sure to allow Editing of Page's default Title before Adding. This very important, since once saved to Android's Home Screen, there is no way to edit text under a saved page in Android I have found. Since unedited default title text is truncated(chopped)under Home Screen saved Icon, page can become unidentifiable on home screen.
Nice job on Mini guys!
