Got onto computer and opened Opera everything was fine, next thing I know I had to restart the computer and a message came up stated files were corrupt and couldn't be read and could not save settings? I unloaded Opera and did a fresh upload but everything is still gone. Settings for yahoo, my blog page etc...etc... and no bookmarks what so ever. Everything is gone and wiped out. Very upset.
What is going on?
Where are all my setting on Top and Where are all my Bookmarked Pages?
Nobody is answering anywhere.

Windows XP and Fire Fox still works fine with it. Opera a little faster but with this new set up no longer.

Windows?
Mods, I saw this user's thread in "Windows" with exactly the same content. Longshot must be nervous/frustrated, so it's o'k for now.

Like I said when I got onto computer about 3 hours ago, Opera was like it always was with everything I had in place. In a blink of the eye it changed. I restarted computer after getting off and all of a sudden when Opera was clicked onto it stated files not saved, then opened with everything gone. One second Opera like always to this disaster, it's not the OS. As I said Fire Fox has not changed a bit.

Shall you post this to that other, properly placed thread of yours? First - specs (I asked there).
Welcome to the forums.

Yes it is Frustrating when one second everything was fine, the next we get this. Top bar gone with things we had placed there, and bookmark cross on right gone. Now having to click onto Opera button every time we want to click onto a page that was on top for easy access. Don't need the sarcasm.
Opera needs to stop breaking things that were fine.

So, resubmit just what you said to that place.

Problem was when Opera updated, everything in settings had to be re-updated again. Now everything is back to normal again. Second bar back and bookmark back where it was.

So far, you've posted about this issue in at least 3 different threads. Normal forum etiquette in nearly every forum I've been part of is to start a topic and stick with it, patiently waiting for a response and even infrequently 'bumping' a thread if needed. This is especially true in forums like this where other users provide the help for users with problems. If you're only making a 'statement', then please make it in just one place and don't remake it all over the forums.
Opera redesigned its browsers in major ways almost 2 years ago, with a variety of features disappearing, others highly altered, and still others added. You've provided virtually no information about what version you were using before the problem began, how you actually obtained your 'upload'/update, and what version you're using now. Since almost every Opera version since the dawn of time can be downloaded from Opera's servers, it's almost impossible for anybody to help you without you supplying some usable version information. That information needs to appear in your original thread. Unless, of course, help is not what you really want...
