I don't know what happened but sometime in the last couple of days Opera 27 has started running very, very slow. Only Opera, I've tried other browsers, like Chrome, and it everything runs fine. But I prefer Opera for a number of reasons. I've uninstalled and re-installed Flash and Java several times and even without them the browser just crawls. Virus/Malware and other malicious program searches are update to date and yield nothing. So any clues here? Is there something in the latest version of Opera that's buggy causing these problems?

So, here's also sort of an odd thing. The shortcut on the desktop in the "Target" field is ghosted out and simply says "Internet" in it. Going into program files and finding the direct link seems to open the browser and it runs a bit faster, at least not straining the computer enough so that the CPU fan runs constantly.

So any thoughts on what could be going on here?

if u have ccleaner u can run cleraing all temporary files, history and all unnecessary files from browser. u can download older verion of this programme because it started to run in background in new versions. i have version 4.12. if ure going to download it and check - be carefull with settings because u can erase your logins.

try it maybe it will help.

Exactly the same thing is happening for me. I have installed a earlier build to solve the problem. I hope it will get sorted out, don't want to change to another browser.
