opera developer not updating

I have developer 28.0.1738 running on my Win 7 64bit desktop. It tells me 28.0.1745.0 is available. Sometimes it says it's downloading but only does 0% (!), sometimes it says restart to move to 28.0.1745.0, but nothing ever happens. Normally the updates manage themselves by downloading and asking to restart. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try to manually install the update by downloading it from the developer webpage. You might also try the development forum and see if someone has already posted a fix over there.

I had these problems, too! Sometimes the Opera Developer versions have updater problems.

1. Close Opera
2. Start Explorer
3. Enter %TEMP% in adressbar of Explorer to go to the temporary folder
4. Delete all files and folders in it
5. Start Opera
6. Goto Opera menu with Alt key
7. Select About Opera
8. Try to update now

This always worked for me.
