How to change the way Opera handles PDFs

  • When I click on a pdf it does not open but rather is automatically downloaded to my downloads folder. I would prefer it not download and just open the file in Adobe reader, but can not find how I can alter the settings so this happens. Does anyone know how to change the settings in Opera to resolve this problem? Thanks

  • If you put your OS and other details in your forum signature, it saves us asking, and saves you repeating yourself.

    I presume that you're using Opera 19.

    1. Enable the Developer Tools from the File menu, More Tools
    2. In the Developer Tools menu, select Plugins. (Yes, I know this is a stupid way to design a menu system).
    3. In the plugins tab, Enable the Adobe Reader plugin.
  • Thanks Pesala!
I was Googling it earlier, but could only find instructions for earlier versions of Opera.
