Can I remove tabs color?

New update, tabs now have a background color. How do I get rid of it? It's just the last opened tab, or the active, if I click on another, that is shaded. I find it distracting. This is what I mean. I tried to find a different theme but there are literally millions. Any ideas? Or is this something I'll just have to get used to?
