Any way of using Alt_D in Full Screen?

I cannot imagine why Chrome disabled the Alt_D shortcut so we can enter the new web address we want to go to in Full Screen. Works fine when not in Full Screen. Anybody made an extension that works?

You don't have an address bar in full screen in Opera, so theres nothing for the shortcut to do.

Found some extensions. Installed one and F6 is supposed to activate the address bar in full screen. Like so often with extensions, it doesn't work. There is no icon anywhere with settings of course.
