mail.google.com can't load any longer

Hello,
been jolly using opera 12.14 for a few months. All fine (or mostly, anyway, better than firefox/ chrome).
Up until recently I could use opera to access gmail without any issues. Well, recently, I have deleted offline content of various sorts due to issues with a site that would load main HTML then halt upon loading some more iframes/javascript/whatever. After having deleted cookies and whatnot, that site started working again, but gmail, unfortunately...
It allows me to enter my gmail password in but after that it just keeps spinning with "Document: 0B" always showing in the address bar. So how would I debug this issue further ? js error console shows nothing, so it must not be reaching that stage.
Thanks!

Just use the POP3 to fetch the mail and the SMTP to send them.
You will save yourself forever from google's annoying ads and demands to provide more private details about you. -

Thanks, but it seems non gmail specific issue. Just came across another site which wouldn't load its (js ?) content. Works in firefox though.
Help!

Ugh, looks like javascript was disabled for that particular site. Not for gmail though.

Both POP3 and SMTP do not need JS at all.
Give them a try, you'll never return to web-mail any more.
