Can't sign in because account is already linked

My wife just got a new computer and it's not signing in at all. Every page that says to sign in or log in or synchronize go to "Let's start with your email" page. Going through Google or typing in email lead to "The Google account is already linked to another Opera account." Of course it's linked, I'm trying to log in. There is no option without logging in and changing settings. Websites still have autocomplete for logging in, it's just the Opera account for customizations and preferences.
Any information would help, there's just nothing to do right now on the account. Mine logs in fine. It's just the one specific email
