Opera Mail. Receive mail marked as followed contacts

Opera Mail. Receive mail marked as Followed Contacts to my email address. The sender, usually an organization is not in my address list and has not sent the email in response to an email from me.
If I cancel the Contact they are then marked as read and future mail also comes in as read. Any suggestions in how to receive the mail with no Contact and be marked as Unread? -

Found that it's spam using from as name<my email>. Can't stop it apparently. However have changed the image for my name to the bright red star. That shows them up wonderfully so they stand out and can be deleted.
