While Opera GX's workspaces feature is a huge step for organizing tabs, it feels like we're only halfway there. The ability to group and rename tabs within workspaces would be a massive productivity boost for users managing large sets of tabs, especially in production environments. Think of those working with web applications that query data—many of us juggle dozens of tabs at once to quickly switch between tables for manual analysis.

Plus, with Chrome and Edge already offering tab grouping with color-coded folders in the header bar, Opera GX risks falling behind in meeting user expectations. Without tab grouping, new users might hesitate to make the switch to Opera.

Edge doesn't allow users to rename tabs, and that’s where Opera could really get ahead of the curve. The power of renaming and organizing tabs however you want within a workspace, all while maintaining Opera’s reputation as a hardware-efficient, high-utility browser.
