How tf did y'all think this was okay? I'm so furious right now as I'm trying to navigate my tabs. It used to be so easy, even if I had a hundred tabs in one window I could still hover over them and see what they were, with enough space to click on them. Now it's like barcode at the top of my screen and I keep dragging the tabs off when I'm trying to drag the window because there's no empty space. god damn it. It was perfectly fine. why did you have to ruin it. Jesus Christ. nothing should be this difficult.

What on earth have they done to Opera GX? I already abandoned Opera because it became unbearably bloated and slow. Now, the latest update for Opera GX is an absolute disaster. It’s overloaded with unnecessary clutter, and ever since this update, websites have started crashing constantly. To make things worse, you’re forced to accept these intrusive changes. I would’ve gladly stayed with the previous version instead of dealing with this mess they’ve created. As someone who relies heavily on my PC, even for work, it’s beyond frustrating to keep switching browsers. I’m already on the hunt for a new one that actually meets my needs, but after everything I’ve been through with Opera, it’s just utterly disheartening

Unfortunately this is an old post but by the love of god why do you try to change shit that works? This only drives people away from your product. The new design is horrid, everything from the tabs to the new settings bar. Did you not learn from Windows, YouTube, Reddit to name a few? Nobody likes new designs that are just trying to be more modern.

I revert it to the old one, but if they force to change it again i will just delete opera gx and use another browser

Just to add one more reason I hate the new UI is that under Themes, the option for colors is different, before we had to choose 4 colors, now its only 2, and they are not acting the same way.

when the wallpaper changes,the search plugin will keep left
and the sidebar looks ugly to me

Please tell Opera if you hate the new look and function as much as I do. I find it a huge step backwards. Hate it, Opera!!
Looks like from another thread there is no way back. Even if you put the old version back on, it updates when you restart... Sigh...

I just logged in to another laptop and downloaded opera gx and looked at the widgets option and theres no option to roll back on my new device is there another way to roll back because i dont like this UI

@likkm No way to roll back to the old UI now. You can click the Easy Setup button on the address bar and set the preset to "GX Classic" though. That will simulate some of the old UI.

Right click open with notepad > find gxx_flags
on bottom row it says true, change it to false and save the file, restart opera. boom old UI.

If you haven't fixed it already, go to C:\Users*username*\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera GX Stable and edit the "Local State" file you can change this from true to false it should fix it, well it did for me
