Dark mode settings are not working for websites and dev tools

This bug in the latest version is not related to the "force dark mode" setting, but to a app/site/dev tools settings. Since the latest version, Google, dev tools and many other applications and sites viewed in Opera are showing as a light theme despite being set to dark theme (or system). Sometimes when refreshed, it goes back to dark mode but then immediately to the light mode.

dark theme in dev tools does not save its state. Seriously, forcing us to unstall to install a terrible update on Friday night to make our eyes bleed on Saturday. Shame on you

The DevTools theme does not work correctly. When I open DevTools, it defaults to the light theme, even though I have the dark theme selected. If I switch to the light theme and then switch back to the dark theme, the dark theme is displayed correctly. However, after closing and reopening DevTools, the light theme loads again, even though the dark theme is still selected.

This is the same when having it set to system preference. My system is set to Dark Mode and every time I open up dev tools it's light mode. I have to go into the settings and change between system preference and dark, which then switches to dark mode.

This needs to be fixed ASAP. I can't work with light mode, my eyes hurt and I don't want to switch to another browser. If this keeps being broken, I will have to.

After the last update, the dev tool panel is appearing in that nasty default Chrome color instead of dark mode.
Even after setting it, it returns to "System Preference" after a reboot.
To reproduce:
1.Restart PC
2.Open Opera
3. Press <CTRL>+<SHIFT>+<I>
4. Observer color scheme is Standard.
5. Set to a different color scheme.
6. Repeat steps.OS=Windows Server 2016 (Amazon AWS Workspaces)

Same thing here... Can't deal with the light mode anymore. It's almost one month already.

Same problem here, if this doesn't get resolved soon im switching and I highly recommend anybody else having this problem to also do so, because its obvious how important feedback is around here.

The issue still persists on operaGX. The devtool window is light mode by default but when I check the theme option it is set to dark mode. Switching it to light then dark again makes it go into dark mode but it resets back to light mode on refresh. Please fix!!

Having the same problem, raised as a bug with opera twice now and have seen no fix (surely this is a quick fix?!), as a web developer who has chosen Opera as my browser of choice it seems those who chuckled at me are being proven right. Back to chrome it seems....
