Opera GX Android keeps download history saved for private mode

Updated the app on Android after a very long time and noticed that download history no longer clears itself.
- Open private mode in Opera GX for Android
- Download any type of file in private mode
- After download has finished, close and leave private mode
- Check download history to find the file still present in the list. (Even after deleting the file from your phone, it stays on the list)
In the older versions, the list used to clear everything from private sessions upon leaving private mode. I don't know the exact version of the app that still did that, but I do remember that the background of the app icon was still red instead of black.
I checked if this was a phone issue, but it's the same on both my Galaxy Note 8 and Red Magic 9 Pro.On top of that, manually clearing the history is a hell (both download and browse history). You'd have to long press each site/file to make the 'x' appear, and press the 'x' to delete it from the list. You'd have to do this 1-by-1 as there is no multi-select. (browse history does have a clear all option, but that is the entire list…) But that is a different issue entirely.
Back to topic, I do think that this is a bug and not something they intentionally removed. I tried to report it at https://bugs.opera.com/wizard/mobile, but it keeps throwing an error every time I try to submit my report. Now here I am.

[Additional info]
I tested previous versions one at a time and found that version 1.6.0 worked as expected. The issue began in version 1.6.5, and I couldn't find any versions in between to test. In version 1.6.0, the download list is cleared whenever the files are deleted, renamed, or moved. Ideally, this list should also clear upon exiting private mode.I move all my files from the default download location to an SD card, which causes the download list to clear and achieves the same result, saving me from manually deleting entries one by one.
For now, I will continue using version 1.6.0 and refrain from updating the app. I hope this issue can be resolved soon, as the app currently states “private tabs and data cleared” when leaving private mode.
