Open opera://flags/#experimental-start-page and set to Activate, restart Opera.
In start page in bottom right corner you can switch between the display modes of SpeedDial.

Hi, it doesn't work i still have the basic/default thumbnails. I am worried since I have turned the thumbnail into my web desktop. I just a got a bunch of websites that I stored using the speed dial. Luckily I still have them on my bookmarks but I need to access them through speed dial just like I used to do. Is there a way to troubleshoot this? One of my workaround is just to use bookmark and painstakingly organize it. Right now, my opera's speed dial is useless. Also is there a way to put bookmarks to speed dial? Also I wanted to put grouped bookmarks into group thumbnails on speed dial?

          Please help, thanks!

I'm using the dev build, so they may be different for you, but heres who it works for me. Open up your bookmark manager, right click in the main window the folder or bookmark you want add to the speed dial, and click Add to Speed Dial. If you do it to a folder it will add it to the speed dial as a folder. If you do it to a single bookmark it will add a single entry to the speed dial.

I have yet to try it, but it seems it will be cumbersome for me to do it one by one. You see, my books weren't sorted into folders as they are in speed dial. Though I add them both from speed dial and bookmark. Do you have idea why this happen?
