Opera only exporting a portion of my bookmarks

when I try to export my bookmarks it only exports some of my bookmarks. I have my bookmarks as a system of files and they are sorted by website and some files have multiple files in them and it only exports the topmost file.
PS. sorry if this is hard to read I couldn't come up with a better way to explain it.
