Making DuckDuckGo the default search engine

Simply right-click the main search bar and select Edit Search Engines. If you've installed the DDG extension just choose DDG as the default and you're all set!

Actually, search engines are all in Preferences as well. Sorry- I'm a newbie.

Under the OPERA tab --- open preferences --- you should see a SEARCH block with a Manage Search Engines option. I was able to make DuckDuckGo the default search engine with this option. This enables you to search with DuckDuckGo from your browser window location where the active URL is listed. Additionally there is a DuckDuckGo extension available for Opera.
