Delete history when Opera closes

Is there any way to tell Opera to automatically delete history when Opera is closed? They have that feature in Firefox and it makes it so much easier than having to go in and manually delete history every time. Plus, of course it slows down when the history/cache gets too full. I've looked in all the settings, but haven't been able to find this option. Thanks.

Not at the moment no. Programs like CCleaner and Glary Utilities do this and they are very good to have for other reasons too.

Would be nice to have the option to delete all browsing data automatically on exit like Firefox does.

I agree with the above, the only thing you can do is open opera, then before you start browsing, is to click on the opera icon top left hand corner, then click on open new private window or tab as you require. Close the original window before surfing, hope this helps

That's also reachable by mousing, via more tools > clear browsing data - unfortunately it does not do what it's supposed to do, at least when "Obliterate the following items from: |the beginning of time|" is selected. You can test this by selecting everything, doing it, and then examining history which will still be there. Opera 12.17 has a nifty "Delete Private Data..." selection under Tools, which works. Opera is probably working on putting the functionality of 12.17 into what is now 26.0.1656.60, however a solution for users presently is to use CCleaner.
