Browser files increased

So, suddenly over the span of a few months, suddenly the amount of browser files on Opera GX has gone way up. Previously, I had only 600-650 browser files in total but now I'm up to 803. Sure, originally the amount of browser files was 500 but it went from 500 to 650 within the span of a year, however, this has gone by in 2 months. I have no idea what's making this happen, as I am not at all downloading anything new. Is this from updates? Or something else I don't know of? I have MalwareBytes, and have scanned multiple times and had no detections, so it's not virus or malware which is causing this issue (since usually this happens because various viruses or malwares copy files and paste them everywhere, but has never happened to me), so I have no idea what this could be.
