Graphical refresh? Flat/Material style

Opera mini is great. On my older android phone it's fast and it uses less memory than other browsers, so it doesn't kill everything else in the background. But...
It's looking very dated. With all the gradients and rounded corners it doesn't really match most of the other software I've installed in the last few years, like the launcher, etc..
It's not a deal breaker, and I definitely don't want it to double the download size/memory footprint or something, but it'd be really nice if it could be updated with slightly more modern aesthetics. Getting rid of the gradients at the top would be a big start, and changing the menu/tabs so they are more flat/material style.
In theory, I'd think that'd actually decrease the file size and memory use. -

You mean the opera mini beta? Didn't know about that.
Yes, that looks much better graphically. Bit worried that the file size has more than doubled from 1.2Mb to 2.6Mb though. I hope the memory usage hasn't also doubled.
I'll try out the beta when I get a chance.
