Response Language Response?

input "ají dulce" w/o any context and received a reply in what looked like a cyrillic language using english characters. no option to request a translation. so...entered "What are aji dulce peppers", and a different more comprehensive result in the same language as before popped up...so I went to settings to see if perhaps there was a language setting that got toggled by mistake and can't find any settings to tell ARIA how to reply?
