Opera installer won't open

I recently reloaded my computer with xp and tried to reinstall opera which was on it before the reinstall. For some reason the installer will not open. I figured it was because I only had sp2 so I updated to sp3 yesterday and it still will not open. I'm not really sure whats going on but opera 12.16 installs just fine. Same for Firefox, I installed it under sp2 and it works fine.

Try to install Opera 26 with installer from ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/26.0.1656.60/win/

I downloaded Opera_26.0.1656.60_Setup under that link and it still won't open. I can hear the hard drive swapping for a second when I first click on it then it just quits. I'm not sure if its crashing or its closing purposely because it can't find something it wants.

What are the Specifics (Make, Model, Speed etc) of your computers processor (CPU) ?.
