Oops message have to reload page 90% of the time

Samsung 2 10.1. Installed Opera today frustrated by chrome slowness. Almost every page results in "Oops! Something went wrong while displaying this web page. To continue, reload or go to another page". Hit reload and page displays no problem. This experience includes while browsing forums.opera.com looking for solution.
Hugely frustrating although gotta say in spite of this I get to the page still in half the time it takes with chrome...
Appreciate any settings advice. All I changed so far is turn off google analytics.
