What's the dealio with not being able to set our preferred search engine, beyond the list of options offered in settings?
I'd like to use Kagi, and while @burnout426 has previously said "You can contact Kagi to see if they would even consider partnering with Opera to be included in Opera with an option to set it as the default. If so, maybe they could reach a deal with Opera.", Kagi's own page says:
"Note for Opera Users: No Longer Compatible – Opera is no longer compatible as it is restricting users from using alternative search engines. If you are an Opera user you can reach out to Opera and request them to add Kagi to their list of search engines."
Am I to assume that Opera will only offer search engines that... I dunno, pay to be included? Because that idea can get in the bin.
