[Suggestion]Make the close button on tabs always visible

It really is a bad feature, when one has more than 10 tabs open. Trying to go to a tab, but closing it instead, as close button appears right underneath the cursor...
Please make something better than "fade-in close button". Either allow close button to appear only after the window is activated or make the close button permanently visible (on the open tab). -

Yes, this is a really bad feature that should at least be able to be switched off as an option.
I also have the problem that the automatic function often fails so that I first have to click somewhere else before the close button appears again.

@korberg Coming here on DEC 2024. This is still happening. Very poor and bad decision to remove the X button on tabs, forcing a click on the tab before the X button appears. Bad decision. Also very poor design decision to put emoji on tabs. Wo makes these design changes in Opera? Opera used to be the fast browser I always wanted. Now, every new version is getting bloated with added non-sense features we don't want just like the rest of them.

Please fix this. It's very frustrating.
I'd like a feature flag to simply keep the close tab "x" visible so I don't accidentally click it. Or like korberg suggests, register the first click to activate the tab, click the "x" again to close. Anything to help this.
Coming from other chrome based browsers that have the "x" on the right side of the tab means I have to retrain my muscle memory. It's irritating.
Thanks!
