Curious About Opera Mail

I use Outlook.com as my main mail interface and sometimes use the webmail app on my Windows 8 machines. I love the Opera browser but have never tried the Opera Mail.
Are there any advantages to using Opera Mail over the website or the mail app that comes with Windows 8?

I would hesitate to start up the Opera mail client given the distinct possibility that it will no longer be developed. The standalone is simply the client that was included in the former suite. To my knowledge it has not been updated and there are indications that it will not be further developed. Better to continue with Outlook or Windows Live Mail IMHO.
