This is a fresh, vanilla install of Opera, on a fresh vanilla install of macOS 10.14.6 Mojave (I have old 32-bit software I need)

I have not installed any extensions.
I have disabled pretty-much everything I can find which might improve privacy or security.

But Opera continuously restarts when I try to quit.
Opera-Menu -> Opera Quit - this is astonishing. I can not think of a clearer way to tell Opera I want to quit.

      CMD-Q twice doesn't work either!!

Opera 'thinks' it has crashed, and restarts. It even creates crash reports which ask if I want to include any more information, but do not allow me to enter any text. That seems deeply broken.

I am having problems doing Shut Down!!!

Goodness knows how poor the software development and testing regime must be to fail to identify this - Quit seems fundamental no matter what preferences are set.

Details from Opera-Menu -> About Opera
      Opera One(version: 102.0.4880.46) (x86_64)
      Opera is up to date
      Update stream:Stable
      System:macOS Version 10.14.6 (Build 18G9323) 10.14.6 x86_64
      Chromium version:116.0.5845.180

I am extremely disappointed. I was using Opera on an old MacBook from about 2008, and Windows laptops before that. I've been using previous 'Operas' on this MacBook without issue. Web-sites like Amazon Prime or Channel5 stopped playing video, saying the previous Opera was too old.
Installing 'Opera One' seems to be the problem.

@lfx6jvj6mdm8 I finally got Opera to quit. I'm not sure how, except I sent all three crash reports (which offer to let me add information but don't)

Now Opera will not start properly!

It opens a window, then tries to open the first tab that was open at the time I finally quit. But Opera gets stuck, showing the 'busy spinner' cursor. Opera is so stuck it won't come to the front when I click on it's icon in the dock.

Maybe my satisfaction and happiness with previous Opera is clouding my judgement? Maybe I should just give up, uninstall it, and use the disk-space for something more useful, like a Windows-version of a Microsoft browser?

I feel very sad. Opera was much better than Safari, Chrome or Firefox.

PS - I'm writing this using Firefox.
