Mysterious disappearing background window

Every time I start Opera (26.0 on Window 7 64-bit), a mysterious window opens in the background and immediately disappears. The Opera icon in the taskbar flashes as well. This also happens periodically while browsing as well. This only started happening during the last week or so. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks.

Does not sound right. Maybe you should do a scan of your system for possible malware.

I've noticed something similar (Win7-64) with other software apps... a momentary 'flash' past of a box that to me seems like a Windows command box: bordered window, black background, possibly white text. But it all goes by in a small fraction of a second, so it's almost impossible to grasp any real details. Moreover, on my system, it only happens occasionally in a spot that I can observe (that is, if it's happening 'underneath' the apps normal opening window the rest of the time, there's no way for me to tell).

Every time I start Opera...
How do you start it? Last session? Fixed pages?
Extensions enabled? -

Any command-line options in the Opera short cut icon you use to run Opera ?.

It was an extension to show Google Calendar events in Speed Dial. The flashing window happened every time it refreshed. Thanks everyone. Nervous breakdown averted.

I have the same problem in Developer builds since the first 28 build. I'm running Opera with the --no-sandbox flag (see why here) and a command line window occasionally flashes briefly - the text in it says NOT SANDBOXED. It's only displayed for a very brief moment, I had to use screen recording software to be able to read it.
I tried disabling all extensions, didn't help.
