  • I am using version 26.0,1656,32 with Windows 8.1 on a laptop

I updated my version of Opera following a Windows Restore.

My issue is that the slide show I have on my website does not work in this version of Opera. It worked with the previous version I was using. I don't now know which version this was.

In raising this discussion I am not looking for help with my javascript code. What I would like to know is what changes have been made to the way Opera now runs javascript. Or is there somewhere I can look up these changes?

The history of my website is that it was started in 2002 and built by me using HTML, javascript (mainly free scripts) adapted by me) and style sheets.

If you'd like to look at the issue use this link, Neither the slide show controls nor the drop downs function. Load the same page in Internet Explorer and they work! As far as I have been able to examine all rest of the javascript I use works in Opera.

As a post script I have come across other events that do not work in Opera but do in Internet Explorer. These are:

    1. Loading Adobe files within Opera. I get a message, 'Adobe Reader is out of date'. It isn't and as I wrote the same address loads in Internet Explorer. I checked the forum for this issue. I found 'flash player does not load'. Is this the same issue?
    2. BBC Iplayer. When I start the video I get the message, 'This content doesn't seem to be working. Please try again later.' Again works in Internet Explorer.

You show the errors and can trace a Javascript in Developertools with Ctrl Shift I.
