Accessing the GX Control Panel with the Sidebar disabled?

I've found very little online about this; just one post that shares a link to the GX Panel. Is there really absolutely no way to access this feature without reenabling my sidebar, adjusting the settings, and then hiding my sidebar one again? Seems like a very ugly process to use the #1 advertised feature of Opera GX simply because I don't like the look of having a sidebar 24/7 in my browser.
One more thing on the sidebar: why do I have to keep hiding it every single time the browser does the smallest update? Sometimes multiple times in one day. The pride of GX is supposed to be performance and customizability but I feel like I'm being punished by not embracing every single feature... aka the Sidebar. Been thinking about switching ever since Eric Andre was screaming at me and I had to manually delete the executable. If the sidebar problems do not get fixed I'm done with GX. I'm already looking at a transfer back to chrome, which in all honesty was way faster but took more resources, or giving the new Edge a run since it is suppose to be relatively fast and not as resource hungry.
