VPN Pro stopped working on GX

I use opera gx and last year in september paid for the annual subscription to vpn pro which worked fine up until the new year.
Suddenly now it has been rendered useless because it acts like I never paid for it. Will only let me do the free vpn options and when I try to open opera vpn pro on my taskbar, it says disconnected and it will just send me to the website saying my subscription is inactive and gives option to pay for the service all over again. Feel like I'm just talking to a brick wall with support.
