Opera GX import from previous browser problems

Cant import my my Browser bookmarks and settings from my chrome browser.
I downloaded it today and made sure that my regular chrome was up to date. The Opera GX function itself seems broken to me, let me explain. When i attempt the import on the browser microsoft edge the second popup that shows that the import has been made pops up. However when i attempt to do this with chrome the window itself just closes as if i never opened it in the first place. Im running latest windows 11 latest chrome update and the most recent opera GX since today pls halp.
