Opera GX Causing Entire System to Stall

Not much to say about this, have swapped to Firefox for the time being.
While using Opera GX, especially when opening and closing the browser it causes the entire system to hang for over 30 seconds. Currently open software continues to run fine but trying to open task manager or a new tab takes the full 30 seconds.
Same goes for when closing.
This is not an old computer, and is a new windows install. Have tried reinstalling and clearing cache etc etc.
