Horribly bright when opening some sites

When I am using opera, some websites I open cause the whole browser to get painfully bright and makes the entire browser virtually unusable. This sometimes clears when I close the tab that caused it, but reopening it causes the same issue. Other times, though, the brightness continues after the tab causing the error is closed.

The example shown is not the worst it has gotten, but the problem has continued long enough that I am posting it here. I have tried everything imaginable for this, and nothing has worked so far.
