New tab customization

Opera is a really interesting browser and I would love to use it, but not being able to customize a new tab (I use Muz.li extension) disqualifies this browser for me. Please add this option, I'm not the only one who need this option!

Opera has support for it, but it's purposely blocked as Opera doesn't want anything overriding the start page.

There is a workaround though. While Muzli is installed, install New Tab Start Page and in its options, set the custom URL to:
chrome-extension://glcipcfhmopcgidicgdociohdoicpdfc/index.html
Make sure to scroll down the options page and click the save button. Don't select the option to focus on the address bar though. That will be blocked by Opera.
With that workaround though, the address field won't be focused and won't be empty when you open a new tab. But, it's all you can do.

@burnout426 I know they don't allow overriding but the reasons for that are not obvious to me. Users are used to it. Speed Dial is not a solution because forces to extra click (which is bad UX practice).

@burnout426 This isn't a solution - it's a bad UX because it relies on redirection and for a few ms I see the Speed Dial dashboard.

@dizzyfellow Right. It's just a workaround. I upvoted your post as I agree with you that it'd be nice to have.
