Ladies and Gentleman,
I have been struggling with the deprecation of Opera 12.17 as websites appear to slowly not being compatible. The big one for me is Fox News videos which appear not to function within Opera 12.17. I know, I know...the usual "upgrade" is the answer right? Well, I finally gave in a few days ago and side-installed version 26. Ouch, we have certainly dropped the ball on Opera now haven't we! Wow...can't find the words for the disappointment. We're talking prehistoric IE problems here with lack of customization. I will continue to use version 12.17 and I guess continue to use Google Chrome more and more as I find websites that don't work in Opera 12.17. As for version 26, I just uninstalled it.
Recommendation: return to the version 12 days of customization and quit taking lazy design shortcuts!!! Better hurry because someday I/we will be forced to abandon 12.17 in favor of something else. Wish the Opera team all the best of luck during their vindication days.

Fox News videos (any on video.foxnews.com) work fine for me using Opera 12.14 on Linux.
